The Roll Call

So I actually watched every second of it, and I feel pretty confident in my early assessment of it. It was a totally harmless symbolic movement that was probably good for Clinton supporters and Obama supporters. Everyone looked to have fun with it, there were constant chants of “Obama” and “Yes We Can” ringing through the arena, and the vote went to Obama with little contention. Apparently delegates in the hall didn’t know that Clinton was going to end it, so that was a big moment inside. Personally I was actually moved by that visual, and I might even go so far as to say that that may go down as one of Hillary Clinton’s defining moments, and I mean that in a very good way.

I really do think that, 20 years or so from now, this will be one of the things Democrats are supremely proud of their party for.
