My colleague Erik over at our own version of The Corner points out a very salient point one of Andrew Sullivan’s readers points out, and it makes me wonder, why exactly do the best insights on Andrew’s blog seemingly always come from a reader email?

Don’t get me wrong, I like Andrew and all, and his blog is a great clearinghouse from information, but I think he’s a little too confused about his own political standing at the moment, and doesn’t seem particularly on top of things at times.
