Tweaking McCain?

Ezra makes an observation, out loud, I’d wondered about myself through the prism of Obama’s chosen locale for tomorrow night.

“The location gives huge meaning to the moment, with Obama likely to frame a tough case against his new opponent in the very hall where McCain will accept his party‚Äôs nomination.” If I didn’t know better, I’d say the strategy here is to tweak McCain often enough that he uncorks his famous temper and forces the American people to decide whether they really want to hand the presidency to a cranky, touchy old man.

One, subtle, thing Obama might have going for him is that McCain seems to genuinely not like him, to the point of near palpable irritation everytime he’s made to address Obama, especially after an Obama jab. If Obama can set McCain off, good night gracie.
