When You Know Things Are Weak

Wow, was that a bad speech or what? First of all, from the optics of it, you pretty much acknowledge that you know your pick was weak when you have the Presidential nominee stand right next to the VP pick, literally almost touching her, throught the entire rollout speech. Secondly, if it was weak when she was trying to make being on the PTA sound like a high accomplishment, it really tanked when she invoked Hillary Clinton and Geraldine Ferraro by name. I mean, you’re a Republican, you don’t like Clinton and Ferraro. You certainly don’t agree with them on anything. So you really probably shouldn’t admit that you’re only on the ticket because you’re a woman. That’s probably not the best way to appeal to actual swing voters.
