Vice-President Palin?

Just thinking here, is John McCain desperate or what? Sarah Palin? Really? The old white male party just happens to pick one of 2 or 3 women of any import in the party to run as a VP against the first black candidate when they’re pounding the “angry Hillary supporter” angle? I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.

Anyway, I have a feeling this is going to blow back in their face. Assuming for a second that there are still some undecided white female Hillary supporters, doesn’t this just flagrantly insult their intelligence? Considering that McCain is 72 years old (happy birthday), are they going to be comfortable with a conservative female being a step away from the White House? And didn’t McCain just give up the “experience” angle, especially in foreign policy? I mean, if you take the two tickets together, Palin is the only one without any foreign policy experience. I guess I can grant that the only two candidates who might fit that bill were Liebermann and Ridge, so you couldn’t really go there.

Anyway, I predict this brings a lot of blowback to McCain.
