Pawlenty’s Problem

In an otherwise nice post about Governor Tim Pawlenty, Kathy reminds us of this little factoid:

Pawlenty, however, has at least one huge black mark on his record, which I hope the Democrats keep screaming bloody murder about from now until November, and it’s this: last year’s tragic Minneapolis bridge collapse, which left 13 dead and many more injured. Pawlenty bears some direct responsibility for that collapse since, due to his taking Grover Norquist’s anti-tax pledge, he vetoed a highway bill that would have provided funding to repair the state’s crumbling infrastructure — including, yes, that Interstate 35W bridge.

Yeesh. Talk about an opening.

Yet another reason that McCain should just pick Crist, and dare the far-right to gay bait him.
